The Ashgrove Renewables Junior A Football Championship Semi-Finals take place this weekend with 2 lively encounters in store.

On Saturday , Sept 26th Ballydesmond play Lyre at 4.30 pm in Knocknagree , while on Sunday , Sept 27th Castlemagner play Lismire at 7pm in Kiskeam.

Ballydesmond come into the semi-final unbeaten having seen off Lismire, Kilbrin and Kanturk in the Group stages while Lyre recovered from a narrow defeat to Castlemagnner to record an impressive victory over Knocknagree and will go into the game with high hopes of causing an upset . Referee is Jerry Kelleher.

Castlemagner are also unbeaten in the championship having recorded impressive victories over Knocknagree and Lyre, Lismire had an opening  championship disappointment at the hands of Ballydesmond but have recovered very well with victories over Kanturk and Kilbrin and will be hoping for a good performance on Sunday evening .
