The Ashgrove Renewables Junior B Football Championship continued over the weekend with victories for Newmarket and St John’s .

Newmarket had a 3-6 to 0-8 win over Kiskeam in a hard fought game played in Newmarket , This was Kiskeam’s 1st outing and they will take encouragement from a strong 2nd half performance while Newmarket sit on top of Group 1 with 4 points from 2 games.

St John’s recorded a 2-14 to 0-13 win over Castlemagner , This was St John’s 2nd win in Group 2 and they are now in a strong position . Castlemagner will take heart from an improved performance as the competition continues.
